Boomerangers [boo-muh-rang-ers] noun, informal an adult that moves back home to live with a parent after a period of independence. Spencer I love sex. I love the power, the intimacy, the euphoria it brings. Too bad I’m not having any . . . You’d think as New Orleans’ most renowned sex therapist that I’d be swimming in single men. In a way, I am . . . except for the fact that one is in diapers and the other two are drowning in preteen hormones. As a single mother of three, my days are devoted to my clients and my kids, and my nights are spent with Fabio, my trusty vibrator. When my world begins to unravel, I have no choice but to move back home. And when my high school sweetheart comes waltzing back into my life, comedy and chaos ensue. What can I say? I never said I could pick ’em, but you can bet your ass I know how to fix ’em. Cooper As soon as the ink dried on my divorce papers, I made myself a solemn vow I was done with relationships. Moving home to take over my father’s firm was the plan, until Spencer decided to return, along with three souvenirs from the life she’s lived without me. I’ve been in love with the girl next door for nearly all of my life; the rest was spent trying to forget her. I’d give almost anything for a second chance with her, but I have no time for distractions—especially the kind that involve diapers, bottles, and eighteen-year commitments. The problem is, she’s already got me by the balls . . . and I’m beginning to feel the noose tightening around my heart. *Intended for readers 18+
Boomerangers Heather M Orgeron Books
Fun second chance story. The characters are well developed and easily likable. I mean, I didn't love the FMC. At all. I don't think I would be friends with her. (She's quite unreasonable with how she treats the MMC at times, and her toddler is a potty-mouthed brat whom she doesn't even try to guide otherwise. [I suppose that was supposed to be funny. I didn't find it so.] And she was also shameless with her sexuality even in front of his parents, which I thought was terribly disrespectful of her given that it obviously bothered them. I found it a bit selfish and disturbing.)But I liked him. I was a bit disappointed he let her treat him the way she did, even though he went out of his way to help her any time she needed it. And that's why I'm not giving this book a 5 star rating. As a woman, I need to connect with and like the FMC (which I didn't), and I like the man to be strong (he was--to an extent) and not be walked on--especially by the FMC (which he was.)
That said, my feelings toward the characters weren't overly strong. Not to the point of me hating them or hating the story. It's a fun, easy read.

Boomerangers Heather M Orgeron Books Reviews
This book was recommended by a book buddy of mine and Heather Orgeron is a new author to me. I’m so happy I took my friend advice and read this book. I was left laughing so hard, I was crying and couldn’t breathe because everything was so spot on and true I couldn’t believe I was reading it.
Spencer and Cooper were hilarious (and you can’t forget about the crazy family members) honest, and spot on, that it was truly to good to be true and those truths were exactly that.... the truth! There were moments when I laughed so hard I cried, than I actually cried, laughed some more and definitely had those, “yup that so happened to me” moments.
If you want to get out of a funk, or just laugh till you can’t breathe or piss yourself than I totally recommend this book. It will leave you laughing so hard and loving everything about it.
OMG, I can't believe this book was on my TBR list for so long!!! I almost forgot I had this book until I saw a Facebook post about it. That made me look on my shelves and pull it down to read. And I am so happy that I did!!!! This book was everything I look for in a rom-com!!! The characters were amazing, relatable, and made you want to hang out with them. Spencer and Cooper are the main characters in this story, but they are flanked by a awesome set of secondary characters that are almost more important then Spenc and Coop. OMG, I fell in love hard with Kyle!!!! Savage had my heart from the first meeting!! That little 2 year old was such an important part of bringing our love birds together. I was wonderful to watch Cooper fall in love with Kyle also. Their relationship was truly beautiful!! Loved Landon and Lake too, but it took them longer to endear themselves to me. Probably because they were tweens at the beginning. Both mothers were also important to this story!! As well as just hilarious!!!! The only characters I didn't care for were the dead beat dads of Spencer's boys, but I wasn't suppose to like them based on how they were written. So, I'm okay with that. Absolutely LOVED this book!!! Wish I had read it sooner! And I will definitely read this book again!!
This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. I've read it a couple of times now. I laughed through a lot of it. I could relate having grown up in a small town where everybody knows your business. Cooper and Spencer had loved each other all their lives until Cooper makes a bonehead decision years ago that ended their relationship. Fifteen years later and three failed relationships between them they're both back in their parents homes next door to each other again and still as hot for each other as they were as teens. Their parents meddling good intentions are hard at work. Spencer's guarded since he dumped her out of nowhere back then and rightfully so. Cooper is just now figuring out that what he thought he wanted for his life isn't what he wanted at all. He's not sure about her kids and she's a single mother so there is no getting around it. Her parenting choices and challenges are too funny. The youngest is a crack up. Everybody with kids Knows they say things that make you cringe and then leave the room to laugh your head off. My issue is with Spencer as a sex therapist not practicing what you preach. One, drunken hookups often produce children, every time for her. Two, that's not how you talk to pre-teens about sex. It was funny but a sex therapist would be open and reassuring with the facts not using scare tactics with diseased pictures from the interwebs.
I really liked the secondary characters of Gina the best friend, their parents and the various townspeople and thought they made a full rounded story.
This was my first book by this author and I enjoyed it. I laughed through a lot of it. Gotta love small towns and the fact everyone knows everything about EVERYONE. Cooper and Spencer had loved each other all their lives until Cooper made a tragic mistake years ago that broke both their hearts. Years later, failed relationships and Spencer having three kids, they end up back in the small town they grew up in. Nothing's changed between them. The love is still there, the passion and this is the chance for them to get back together, except they complicate things. I laughed until I cried over the fact their sex life was far from private. They got caught in some awkward situations. Spencer's youngest, Kyle is a crack up. The things that come out of that kid's mouth. The whole diaper changing scene was hilarious. The only reason this was a four star read for me and not five, was Spencer. She drove me crazy. Cooper loved her and she loved him but she was the one putting obstacles in their way. He did everything for her and still it didn't seem enough. Cooper I loved, Spence, not so much.
